Deploying & Administering - Members Only

TIPS FOR DEPLOYING AND ADMINISTERING NETLAB+ VIRTUAL EDITION

  • Admins will need to go back through and redeploy VMs – all master files
  • API allows for cloning out from master very quickly
  • Interface is much improved; provides ability to go into reservations to view from administrator rather than creating separate instructor account(s)
  • VE does auto-renew for you; no need to keep track of SSL certs on NETLAB+ side
  • Double-check on NDG site to verify you have current/correct version of the .ovas; shouldn’t need to redeploy the .ovas
  • If you delete a pod, you lose the history with it; advised to disassociate the virtual machines and then pull them out in order to keep the hours
