What Is Netlab+

Suggestions for the What is NETLAB+ page:
NETLAB+, a remote access training solution developed by Network Development Group (NDG), provides an environment through which students may schedule and complete lab exercises for Information Technology courses from the classroom, from home, or anywhere with internet access. NETLAB+ operates as a private cloud, providing a “safe sandbox” for users to schedule, configure, and interact with lab equipment.
The NETLAB+ system is installed and administered at your location. Your organization controls the class offerings, instructor accounts, student accounts, and configuration of both virtual machines and real gear for instructional access.
NETLAB+ is a versatile solution for facilitating IT training in a variety of disciplines, including networking, virtualization, storage, and cybersecurity, developed in collaboration with leading industry partners, including:
- Cisco Networking Academy

Why Virtual Labs

Colleges must answer the need of their communities to train entry level, up-skill existing employees and provide cross training for those looking to change careers. Maintaining capacity for IT training can be costly. Adopting a virtual lab and classroom experience using NETLAB+ helps colleges control FTE costs and gives them the flexibility to expand and contract with enrollment demand.
Student convenience is another important benefit of adopting a virtual lab experience. Students can access the lab 24/7 so they can experiment and practice their assignments on their schedule.
“The lab environment is available to students at any time, providing students with the ability to enjoy additional hands-on experience outside of the classroom environment, in any location with any reliable internet connection.“
– Professor Steve Linthicum, Sierra College –
